TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING YOUR PURPOSE FOR A TRIUMPHANT LIVING
TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 2:14 " 14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place."
A triumphant and victorious believer is the one that knows his/her purpose on earth and is ready to die for it.
WHAT IS PURPOSE?
1. Is the discovery of your original intent of what you supposed to be doing
2. is the discovery of your assignment here on earth.
Note: every man/woman of purpose is the man /woman of focus
until you discover your mission and understand fully how to go about it you remain a nonentity( person of no value).
Example:
A footballer knows he is supposed to be playing football(purpose) but for him to emerge as an outstanding footballer he must have full knowledge of the number he will be playing in the field and understand how he is going to be dealing with opponents.
* The knowledge you acquire over something is what gives you the courage and confidence to conquer. I like what Bishop David Oyedepo Said in one of his sermons and I quot , " THERE IS NO MOUNTAIN ANY WHERE EVERY MANS IGNORANCE IS HIS OWN MOUNTAIN ."
This is to say every man is responsible for the happening of his own life. what you don't discover you can never recover from it.
" 7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. 8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. 9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee." -Proverbs 4:7-9
No one can ever win the battle he does not understand or else he remains defeated. Remember, it is the level of your understanding that makes you outstanding in life.
One thing you must know is that nothing works like magic in the kingdom of God everything works by understanding. God said in the book of Hosea 4:6 that, " 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, .......
A lot of people have rejected the knowledge of God and therefore because of that they can't produce the aroma that God wants when ever they appear before his throne. that has caused them to lose their place in destiny.
Brethren, you have to understand that until you accept the Knowledge which is the aroma of the word of God you will never emerge a victor no matter how you may try to be one.
TASK
In case you are saying Lord how can I have access to this knowledge that will make me outstanding?
well then you must do the following at your own convenient time.
1. Seperate yourself for an hour just to be in the presence of God
2. Study the Word with an understanding
3. Meditate the Word
4. Keep quiet for some good minutes and hear from God
5. Write down every revelation you will receive from God
